I don’t know what it is but it seems every time I leave my kindle charger at home I end up desperately needing it and end up begging my way all along the week long trips or vacations I enjoy taking for a charge here and there. So, a very good friend came out of the blue one day with a gift he said made him think of me and that was reason enough. It has a new kindle charger for the car. And I must say, in the long run, it might prove to be one of the best and most useful gifts I have ever received.
So when I got my mother in law, who’s a collage teacher, a kindle I decided to get her a kindle charger for the car two and was amazed to discover the range of options you can get out there. I’ll probably end up getting her the most complex one simply because I love having a lot of little gadgets to solve those problems you don’t ever think you’ll ever have. But I am also taking in to consideration the rest. Not sure yet.
The simplest option is the kindle car charger from Gomadic
.It’s straight forward, exactly the one I have in my car and I like it a lot. It’s made of good quality plastic, or should I say the bindings are of good quality, I don’t get that cheap feeling you have over some cheap knock offs you usually find for your phone. And the cord is long enough that I could enjoy reading it even in the car still connected to the kindle charger but since I’m always the driver I’m just happy it’s already charged when I get to the hotel.
However I am thinking of getting her the kit kindle charger
where you also get an extra wall socket. I’m not sure why she would need that but I am thinking that she might want to keep it at her office at the university. It’s still the one from Gomadic so I am confident the quality will be as good for the wall socket kindle charger as it was for the car charger.
The real temptation though for a kindle charger is the huge kit pack from eBig
. They give you a car charger, wall socket, protection screen, headset and a Hand Strap. Will she ever use the hand strap? I think not and I quite sure she already bought a headset especially for her reader. But the screen protector is a big plus and I love the fact that all of items come in white and blend is with the kindle. The only thing I don’t like is the fact that both the wall socket and the car kindle charger have a USB slot and are not directly wired so that’s one more connection you have to make to get everything working and one more wire that you can misplace and find yourself looking at your kindle then at the plugged in kindle charger and scream at the frustration of having lost your connecting cable.
